Social and Solidarity Economy refers to forms of economic activities and relations that prioritize social and often environmental objectives over profit motives. It involves citizens acting collectively and in solidarity for democratization of economy and society, including producers, workers, and consumers.
So says the United Nation’s definition. For us this means especially being honest with our values and purpose as in being part of protecting and regenerating our planet earth and healthy human relationships. Collaboration over competition. Creating win-win-win situations rather than a winner and a looser mess.
Realizing that we are well when all are well. That it is our individual and common goal that everyone’s needs are covered and we thrive. That our common planet earth is our host and mother and we want to live in gratitude and celebration of life. That what is important - is important. And going to the core of that. Questioning what it is that we really care for in life. What we miss when we don’t have it. What we feel nourished by and inspired. What drives us to act, what makes us love and when we laugh together.
Solidary Economy is like so many other projects and ongoing field of research, expansion and learning.
